  I've had this grill for 6 years. I've been disappointed in the design and quality of this $14,000 grill since day one. I was looking to replace it recently, when I noticed the lack of any reviews on Kalamazoo grills. For anyone looking for reviews...here is one. Run, don't walk, away from Kalamazoo and don't get caught in the marketing and hype. The lid came apart after the first year, and fortunately technical support gave me instructions on how to fix it myself, which I did. The most annoying part of my grill is the small ash/grease pan that is tucked in the very back of the bottom of the grill. I can barely reach it, much less pull it out without spilling. Every time it rains, the water runs in the vents on top (which are always closed but don't seal) and fills up the ash pan. To date, all the paint is off of every dial on the front of the grill. fortunately I know what burners are where, and what high vs. low is on the dial. It's neat how you can use charcoal or wood, however the lid doesn't fit tight enough to allow for control of the amount of air getting in. So charcoal always burns hot and grey. Wood chips and chunks burn up immediately, heating the grill too hot to do any slow cooking. Save your money. Get a cheap $250 smoker grill with a wood box on the side and charcoal on the bottom. I use my cheap smoker when I really want to do quality cooking. I use the $14,000 grill to cook burgers and dogs for the kids. phew...what a waste!
